Typically within one business day. He asks what you are dealing with and roughly where the property sits, so he can bring the right things to the site visit.
Nathan comes out and looks at the actual ground — the slope, the drainage, the access for equipment. Most of the metroplex can be seen same-day or next-day.
You get a number in writing before anything starts, and that number is the price. No change orders once the crew is on site.
None of this is required. It just makes the first call shorter and the quote sharper.
Roughly how long the run is and how much height you are holding back. A photo or two from your phone, taken far enough back to show the whole slope, tells Nathan more than a paragraph can.
If a wall is already there and failing, mention how long it has been moving.
The pool’s approximate size, and whether it is gunite, vinyl or fiberglass. Also useful: how a machine would reach the back yard — gate width, alley access, anything in the way.
If you are working to a closing date, say so on the call.
